Bachelor of Arts
The equestrian studies program focuses on practical knowledge to prepare students for a variety of careers in the equine industry. Students develop actionable equine business models and plans for equine facilities. They study laws, principles, rules and regulations associated with equine-related activities, and learn how to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals from equine-related professions. While at SCAD, students practice ethical behavior, demonstrating social and professional responsibility, and perform as riders and trainers at high, specialized levels. Curriculum is supplemented with guest lectures from industry-leading professionals including trainers, judges, veterinarians and horse show managers.
