DAIRY CREST CHOOSE HOMER FOR FRIJJ FLAVOUR
Dairy Crest and The Simpsons have collaborated to bring out a limited edition ‘Cookie Dough’ flavour featur-
ing Homer Simpson for its FRijj milkshake range. The Homer inspired Cookie Dough follows the success of
the Chief Wiggum Chocolate Fudge Brownie flavour.
Mike Smith, FRijj Brand Manager at Dairy Crest comments: “We started working with Fox in 2003 to de-
velop a series of The Simpsons inspired limited edition flavours that would complement the existing FRijj
range. Our core audience is male aged 15-24, so use of The Simpsons characters on the bottle graphics
instantly engages their interest and gives FRijj a strong USP.”

GARY THE GARDENER DIGS IN TO HELP CHILDREN
The new UK children’s book character, Gary the Gardener, will
be running a campaign with UK primary schools to help them
launch new garden projects. Funshine Productions, the com-
pany behind Gary the Gardener initiated the programme as a
way for schools to encourage children to grow their own fruit
and vegetables, and also see it as a way to raise Gary’s profile
with his target age group.
Sharon Maxim, artistic director at Funshine Productions said “Even President
Obama and the First Lady are getting the gardening bug, as they are digging up
the front lawn of the Whitehouse to plant an organic vegetable plot; maybe Gary
could offer them some advice if they check out his website for useful gardening
tips!”
Gary is currently touring UK schools in his full length musical stage show and the
company are looking to attract TV companies interested in producing the series
of scripts for a children’s television series.
