TOTAL LICENSING
PUBLISHING ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM PARAMOUNT
Paramount Pictures’ Licensing Group has an aggressive publishing program in place.
Current publishing deals include the recent film Revolutionary Road, Breakfast at Tif-
fany’s, Galaxy Quest, The Warriors, and Hotel for Dogs and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,
which have book deals wrapped around their 2009 releases.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Defiance, The Duchess and also all have pub-
lishing tie-ins to accompany the film releases.
Later this year, Paramount will release Shutter Island, from the Dennis Lehane novel,
and The Lovely Bones, from the bestselling novel by Alice Sebold. Both novels will be
reissued by their publishers, using Paramount’s movie art on the covers.
DINORSAUR KING INCREASING
PRESENCE IN UK AND FRANCE
The Upper Deck Trading Card Game (TCG) based on the TV property Dinosaur
King, distributed by 4Kids Entertainment, Inc is increasing its presence across the
UK and France.
Dinosaur King is an animated series that chronicles the adventures of Max, Rex and
Zoe, known as the ‘D Team’, who search the world for Dinosaur cards that have the
power to bring dinosaurs back to life. The viewing audience for Dinosaur King has
been growing since its UK launch on Jetix in March 2008. Its popularity has also been
evident by its recent launch on GMTV’s Action Stations channel - in just its second
week Dinosaur King was the best performing show on the station. It is currently
airing in a prime 7.55am time slot on weekends. In France, the show can currently
be seen on Canal J.
In France, a marketing campaign in support of the Dinosaur King TCG is also under
way and will include adverts on France 3, Gulli and Canal J. A special Dinosaur month already ran on Canal J from
February through to March, and a na-
tionwide sampling campaign will take
place over Easter.

HAPPY FOR NO REASON MERCHANDISING PROGRAM
The New York Times bestseller Happy for no Reason is to be developed into a multi-category merchandise licensing
program.
Marci Shimoff’s book, Happy for no Reason: 7 Steps to Being Happy from the Inside Out was published in 2008 by Simon
and Schuster, and has been translated into 31 different languages.
SupperTime Entertainment plans to help spread it via licensed merchandise. Categories to be pursued include Acces-
sories, Apparel, Domestics, Food & Beverage, Footwear, Gifts & Novelties, Health & Beauty, Home Décor, Housewares,
Stationery & Paper Goods and Toys & Games.
