Gattefossé puts Guilty Pleasures on menu
French cosmetic actives maker Gattefossé has revealed Guilty Pleasures, the 2025 edition of its Inspiration range of beauty formulations. The Guilty Pleasures concept
consists of four formulations: Matt’cha Cream, Caramelt Lollipop, Orange Candy Bi-gel and Hair Pudding Mask. The French and American
application laboratories of Gattefossé co-developed the formulations with the primary goal of stimulating imagination and exploring new horizons. The concept offers a complete
immersion in a refined and delicious universe, unfolding like a four-course menu: appetizer, main course, dessert, and drink, each offering a unique experience. With Caramelt Lollipop, for
example, the combination of Emulium Kappa MB and some hot water transforms a solid cube into a delicious creamy texture that makes one’s mouth water. Geleol MB, as a co-emulsifier, completes this unique sensory
experience, for nourished and soft skin in an instant. This light and non-greasy
formula, with quick absorption and a dry finish, is perfectly suited for body care. “Combining aesthetic textures
and indulgent fragrances, this new collection has been designed to offer a complete sensory experience
that will make your mouth water,” said Gattefossé France marketing manager, Marine Lochouarn. “A perfect illustration of the viral
and cross-sector phenomenon that is food,” she added. For more information, visit

Clariant puts product carbon footprint data at fingertips
Clariant has made available Product Carbon Footprints data (PCFs) for a large part of its Care Chemicals products on ClariHub, its digital customer platform. Customers can access
and download PCFs directly by logging into their ClariHub accounts, the new development marking a major step forward in Clariant’s efforts to provide comprehensive product information and support to stakeholders in their carbon reduction initiatives.
Clariant said the availability of
PCFs on ClariHub will empower Clariant’s customers with valuable data to better understand the environmental impact of the products they purchase; make more informed decisions in their product
selection process; accurately calculate and report their own carbon footprints; and develop and implement effective carbon reduction strategies. With approximately 50%
of PCFs already available, the business unit Care Chemicals will continue to expand the range of products with available PCFs in ClariHub with plans to have PCFs for most of the portfolio available by the end of 2025. “Making PCFs readily available on ClariHub demonstrates our
dedication to transparency and our commitment to supporting our customers’ sustainability journeys,” said Christian Vang, President Care Chemicals & Americas at Clariant. “This initiative is a crucial
part of our strategy to enable our customers to make informed decisions as they work towards their carbon reduction targets.” Clariant’s PCFs are compliant with ISO 14067:2018, a methodology validated by TÜV Rheinland.

Seqens launches bio-based multifunctional
French cosmetic actives maker Seqens has launched AdvensProtect 8 Green, a 100% bio-based caprylyl glycol multifunctional ingredient. AdvensProtect 8 Green can be used as humectant, emollient, and preservative booster in skin care, hair care and make-up serums, creams and lotions. Seqens said its short lipophilic chain will attach to the lipid structures orientating the hydrophobic part of the molecule to the upper skin layers for better moisture retention. Meanwhile, viscosity regulation
improves the sensorial profile, improves pigment dispersion, and adds wetting properties and reduces tackiness of formulations. It is also suitable for products seeking an effective preservative boost with a moisturizing, effect reducing the need for harsh preservatives.
“We feel delighted to introduce
this ready-to-use, effective solution for hair and scalp care formulators,” said Laura Meunier, global product manager at Symrise. “Crinipan PO Plus makes it
easy for manufacturers to deliver confidence to consumers through a cleaner scalp,” she added.
