fresh look, take on real-life experiences and have new human friends. This, alongside the launch of Dora Infant, a new infant line in late 2014, will allow Dora to accompany children every step of the way from birth to school.
Abadas is a 52 x 11’ mixed media animation and live-action series which introduces pre-schoolers to language through play. When six-year-old narrator Ben opens his pop-up book, out of its pages leap three animated characters, Hari the Hippo, Ela the Fox and Seren the Bat. Known as the Abadas, they live on an enchanted island in the middle of the book. At the start of each episode, Ben introduces an object and then helps the characters as they travel through the magical landscapes of the Abadas world in search of the word of the day. The series has been a solid performer on
CBeebies, where it launched in 2011, and has now established itself as a stalwart of the CBeebies broadcast schedule. Abbey Home Media released a DVD of nine episodes in the Summer of 2013 and Immediate Media continues to feature Abadas in the CBeebies weekly magazine. Hoho Entertainment is currently developing a range of Abadas-licensed t-shirts, mugs and bags with Event Merchandising, to be made available for both retailers and licensees in 2014.
There will be brand-new adventures in 2014 for Dinosaur Train. 2013 saw the successful launch of the Tomy interactive toy range and live rail events in the UK, allowing children to have their own Dinosaur Train adventures off-air. This year will see Buddy and his friends roll out into new categories and with new licensees across hard and soft lines. On-air fans can tune into new episodes across 2014 to see their favourite prehistoric friends.

Julius Jr., Saban Brands’ new animated pre-school series inspired by the characters of Paul Frank, currently airs on Nick Jr every Sunday at 11am EST/ PST in the US and will premiere in international markets starting in Autumn 2014. impressive growth week over week. Julius Jr. products will hit shelves in Autumn 2014 with Fisher-Price serving as the global master toy licensee for the property. Categories will include toys, apparel/ accessories, craft and activity, publishing, role- play and more.
Paw Patrol, featuring six fearless pups led by one boy, launched on UK screens in November 2013, and 2014 will see Spin Master launch the first toys in the UK in Autumn/Winter. The toys will bring to life each pup’s unique skill set and a house that turns into a vehicle specific to their personality.
Chase is an athletic police pup, Marshall is a
spirited fire truck pup, Rocky is an enthusiastic recycling pup, Rubble is a gruff, but loveable construction digger pup, Zuma is a playful, water- loving pup and Skye is a fearless, smart helicopter pup. With a second series greenlit and the CGI- animation ranked as the number one pre-school series on TV in the US, it is definitely a property to watch.
