When a group has arrived and rooms have been allocated, each department will receive a departmental notification. When guests move from one room to another individual notices are completed.


A list prepared daily showing rooms due to be vacated. A prepayment by a guest to reserve accommodation.


Amount paid out by the hotel on the guest’s behalf and charged onto his bill. A percentage is deducted from the rack rate.

A rate charged for occupancy of a room during the day but not overnight. Generally from 06:00 to 18:00. Tis rate is normally half of the rate charged per night for the room.
