Modules in performance and media analysis offer you the opportunity to further develop knowledge and understanding of the media and performing arts.

In year 2 you can develop individual interests and explore other performance- related skills and techniques such as scriptwriting or directing. You will also complete a live performance project and a theatre performance/ video drama project.

Areas of study include: • TV Acting • Theatre Acting • Scriptwriting • Radio Drama • Stand-up Comedy • Video Drama Direction

How will I learn? Teaching is delivered through a combination of practical workshops and seminars, lectures, one-to-one tutorials and masterclasses.

Students are required to be increasingly responsible for their own learning as they progress, thus preparing them for the industry. An important part of learning in this programme is to make the most of opportunities for extra-curricular activities organised by the programme team. These currently include the opportunity to audition for the graduating students’ Performers Showcase which takes place before an audience of agents and casting directors and opportunities to attend masterclasses with visiting leading professionals.

Where can I get a job?

The programme prepares you for a wide variety of careers in the media and performance industries. Our former students have gone on to work in theatre, film, television and radio. Also a number of our graduates successfully apply for further programmes of study.
