The in-cosmetics Group has announced the launch of in- cosmetics Virtual - a new online meeting place for the personal care ingredients community. With many shows postponed for this year there are limited opportunities to meet face to face. The dedicated and interactive

Service launched to navigate regulations
SGS has launched a dedicated service to help manufacturers and suppliers of cosmetics, personal care and household products remain compliant in a fast- changing regulatory environment. SGS Digicomply for
Cosmetics, Personal Care and Household Products delivers granular information on changes to markets and
regulatory requirements relating to products, ingredients, and formulations. If a product is found to be
non-compliant, it can result in a costly and damaging recall, but it can be difficult to navigate market changes. Manufacturers need to constantly be horizontally scanning the legislative landscape for intelligence on changes that may impact their
products. They need to monitor a wide variety of respected sources, looking for information that is relevant to each aspect of their product(s) – formulation, ingredients, markets, and so on. If they fail in this task, they may be required to perform a costly recall. SGS Digicomply allows businesses to outsource this requirement.
Platinum awards for actives company
Silab has received the highest distinction from the EcoVadis rating platform: the Platinum medal. With a score of 73/100 in

New tester analyses foam behaviour
Krüss has released the new Foam Tester, an instrument for testing liquids with respect to their foam formation and stability behaviour, focusing on quality control for foam prevention and inhibition. Although being a welcome

Foam Tester carries out this task in an exactly repeatable manner. The results provide significant information for the foaming capacity of liquids and the decay speed of the resulting foam. The Foam Tester allows
preparing the measurement in a few easy steps. The measuring
cylinder is placed in the instrument with a single movement using the plug-in unit. The flexible system, which simply uses paper filters to provide the pores for foaming up, enables all components to be cleaned quickly. It also allows one sample to be prepared while another measurement is running to save time. The clear data management with the instrument’s Advance software ensures gapless documentation of raw data and end results.
