WESTBURY LEO’S CLUB

This year the Westbury Leo’s club have been extremely busy supporting their local community with a range of different events. To recognise their contributions to the Westbury Community and the fantastic support they offer, the Westbury Leo’s club have been nominated for Westbury Young Volunteers award at the


The ongoing Quakers graveyard project continued for its second day on 12th May with many Leos supporting the tidy up.


The Leos always enjoy supporting the annual Donkey Derby which took place on 10th June this year.


This term the Westbury Leos have been proud to support a number of community and school activities:


Westbury Whitehorse litter pick which took place on 28th April.


In Celebration of the Westbury Leos dedication to supporting the local community, the Leos and their families were invited to a day out at Paulton’s Park on 17th June.

If you are in years 8-11 and are interested in supporting the local community then the Westbury Leos club is for you. All you need to do is collect a registration form from Miss Drewitt.

Matravers School is delighted to have received a donation from the Westbury Lions Club of £1700 to provide for a set of C-Reader Pens. This donation has enabled the school to further develop our resources which support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities such as dyslexia.


Matravers School has long-established links with the Westbury Lions. The Lions Club support the Westbury and surrounding family of schools concert each year and provide donations to each school. Matravers School was also unique in establishing its own Leos Club who follow in the footsteps of its founding organisation.


Matravers School commented: “We are delighted and honoured to have received such a wonderful donation from the Lions. This will potentially make a huge difference to pupils at the School.”
