Year 9 (continued) 9.1, MISS SMITH

We have experienced many ups and downs through the year with members of the group contributing to extra- curricular such as Sports, CCF, and Drama Productions

They can moan for Europe but when it comes down to doing the right thing, they are always there. Shussshhhh !! and they’d never tell you but they do get on and are loyal to each other as any tutor group I have ever had.

One of the things I will miss, is not seeing them through to Yr11 but I’m sure they will achieve great things and will shine in KS4.

What a wonderful year for 9.1. Another year of

achieving, cheering and laughing together. Each and every one of our tutor group have really shone this year. We have had: sporting highlights, stand out dance and musical performances, more volunteers in the school production and CCF nominations.

I am incredibly proud of each of you and the improvements you continue to make: no improvement is ever a small one! You all do excellent things on a weekly basis, but some of my proudest moments are seeing you support each other, celebrate each other’s successes and go out of your way to make someone else’s day better.

Most recently, I was so impressed by your team effort to volunteer and get involved in Sports Day preparations: a great team is a winning team! Now it’s time for you to take the biggest step yet: the step into Year 10 and your GCSEs. You have all developed excellent learner skills: independence, motivation, resilience and dynamism to name a few (as shown by your core value points!).

I have no doubt that you will continue striving for the best throughout the next two years. But remember this: in order to change tomorrow, you have to do something different today. Don’t ever accept ‘that will do’, ask yourself: ‘what more can I do’? Keep reaching for the best you can be 9.1! Thank you for another memorable year.

9.2, MR LESTER

9.3 have had another amazing year. With the addition of a few new members, the tutor group has continued to go from strength to strength both as individuals and as a team.

More people than ever have chosen to get involved in extracurricular activities (including CCF and the school production) and, as a result, 9.3 are making their talents known and their voice heard right across the school. Others have been selected to represent the school in a variety of sporting events or are excelling academically in a wide variety of subjects.

More notable than their individual achievements, however, is the way in which 9.3 have developed into a strong, supportive team. The same tutor group that once refused to work together for more than twenty minutes at a time now happily cheer each other through their successes and offer support, advice and hands-on help wherever it is needed. This sense of team work really shines throughout everything 9.3 do and I am really very proud of you all.

9.4, MRS TEALE

Well Done 9-2 9.3, MRS SCOTT

What a mix of very different characters I inherited

this year and what a pleasure to have them as a tutor group they have driven me from tearing my hair out to grinning with pride.
