SITE MASTERPLAN

Matravers School has successfully attracted a significant amount of additional funding over the past few years to help us transform our site and to realise our vision for the school.

Over the next couple of years we aim to deliver our key principles around this which include:

1.

2. 3. 4.

Developing the quality of the facilities that already exist.

Enhancing our Sports Village. Enhancing our Arts Provision.

Extending our ability to provide facilities for the community.

We are delighted that our Priority School Building Programme begins during the summer holidays. This programme is split into phases:

PHASE 1 (SUMMER HOLIDAYS)

The temporary classrooms on the school carpark will be removed and a new carpark will be constructed on site. In addition to this, our existing Hair salon will be converted to a state-of-the-art Graphics facility.

PHASE 2 (SEPTEMBER 2018 ONWARDS)

The construction of the new 3-storey block will take place, incorporating Science, Maths, Technology, Computing, and general teaching classrooms. A new student toilet block will also be included.

PHASE 3 (JANUARY 2020 ONWARDS)

The old Maths, Science and Technology block will be demolished with the plan to replace this space with 2 new astro-turf facilities.

Alongside this, after some delays from the Wiltshire Council, we are now progressing our £1 million improvement of the Main Teaching block.
