Strange Hill High, the new multi-media comedy series for six- to twelve-year-olds received a great response at MIP Jr and BLE. The show has a distinctive look, produced with new techniques combining anime-style rod puppets, cinematic animation and CGI. The series is due to launch in Spring 2013 and

is described as Grange Hill meets The Muppets in South Park. Filled with outrageous humour and hidden jokes from both American and British, the comedy plays on two levels, appealing to both adults and children. Coproduced by FremantleMedia Enterprises and CBBC in association with Factory Transmedia, show production is led by Josh Weinstein (The Simpsons). Stars including John Thomson, Richard Ayoade and Caroline Aherne provide character voices. Global rollout is expected from Q4 2013. FME is actively pursuing partners across multiple

licensing categories including toys, gaming, mobile, sponsorship, online, live events and more. The first phase of the licensing rollout, anticipated for Spring 2014, will include novelty toys and gifts, collectable figures, DVD/ digital, stationery, publishing, paper products and limited apparel. Trading cards, apparel, arts and crafts, nightwear and underwear, seasonal foods, homewares, additional line extensions and licensed promotions will follow in phases two and three.
