www.famosa.es/en Toy Fair 2013 will mark Famosa’s return to the UK. Following sales success of I Love Minnie across Europe, with more than 1,000,000 I Love Minnie dolls sold over the last two years, January sees the full launch of this range of dolls and accessories. The dolls are designed to capture the magical appeal of Minnie Mouse, along with her love of fashion and friendship. A heavyweight marketing campaign will begin in February focusing on the under-£10 dolls and the dolls and pets lines, with over 500 girls 4-6 TVRs planned leading up to Easter. The I Love Minnie Hairdressing Set will be TV-advertised for the
Autumn. Children can wash, comb, dry and style the doll’s hair with the easy-to-use glitter pen and hair extensions. The set comes complete with hairdryer and other accessories which all store away in the secret bow storage case. The Nenuco range of Nurturing Dolls will be launched in July in the UK.
Nenuco dolls and playsets come with accessories which enable ‘real mum’ role-play, with a broad range of price points and play patterns within the range. Nenuco Cradle Sleep with Me Set comes with a new-born styled doll and
cradle which attaches to the side of the child’s bed or can free stand on its own. The star on the cradle is a nightlight which plays a lullaby. Nenuco Hairdressing Set is designed for the slightly older child, with long hair that is ideal for easy brushing and styling. The set comes complete with hair braider for either the child or her doll, hair extensions and accessories. Both the Nenuco Cradle Sleep with Me Set and Hairdressing Set will be
supported by a heavyweight TV campaign which launches on TV in July, with over 1,500 HWCH TVRs planned leading up to Christmas. Following the re-launch of the new interactive Furby this year, Famosa is launching a range of under-£10 soft Furby plush in January. The launch kicks off with an 8cm key chain with sounds, and a 14cm and a 20cm plush Furby. The initial launch will be in wave 1 styles and colours, with more styles and colours following to enhance collectability.
Within the Disney Arts and Crafts range there are two major developments, both being TV-advertised in the Autumn. First is the I Love Minnie Card Studio Design where children can decorate cartoon character cards, ideal for bookmarks, invitations and cards. Also new is the Disney Princess 3D Magic Projector; draw Disney Princesses with the help of the projector and see them ‘magically’ come to life with 3D backgrounds using the 3D glasses. The Feber range has new licences being introduced in 2013. There is a new
Minnie Mouse Boutique two-seater 12V car for young girls and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle licence will be introduced to the range of ride-ons appealing to boys. Another major licence will also be announced at Toy Fair.
