www.learningresources.co.uk The new Picnic Set from the New Sprouts range is specially designed for little hands. Chunky, rubberised pieces offer safe role-play for toddlers, helping them to put together the three-piece burgers and ‘squirt’ the squeezable condiment bottles. The set includes a plastic basket, ketchup and mustard bottles, and two each of plates, mini hamburgers, watermelon wedges and cupcakes. Circular plates included are also divided into thirds for early sorting. The Sea Squad, sea creature-themed puppets, feature
Flipper, Dipper, Chomper and Bob. These puppets feature simple moveable mouths to promote role-play and communication, and Flipper’s angler glows. These puppets are available in a set of four or a POS display of nine. Jolly Phonics and the self-checking Hot Dots system give
children a foundation in reading and writing. The set offers 192 interactive learning activities all written by Jolly Phonics and give good value. Children can select an answer against the multiple-choice questions with the talking pen which shows a green or red light for immediate feedback, and the pens also have an audio setting for extra reinforcement. Three books included promote Letter Sounds, First Words and Vowel Sounds.

www.interplayuk.com The multi-award- winning myStyle craft range for girls continues to grow with a host of new on-trend jewellery kits. These new developments keep the brand fresh and up-to-date. A new colourful neon theme is introduced for some jewellery kits. A new Shamballa Bead Jewellery kit is already a hit at previews, whilst Alpha Bracelets sets a new take on the friendship bracelet theme. Also, three new lines have been added following the success of the four established lower-priced kits. The myStyle brand is supported throughout the year with TV adverts, online campaigns and high-impact Girls magazine presence. The Rivetz range is a new 3D construction activity system. A Stealth Fighter and a pre-
historic Pterodactyl will join the collection, and the brand will be supported by a major TV promotion throughout 2013. The Rivetz system and its popular patented Rivetz gun are for boys aged eight and above. A winner of the Creative Play Awards, Craft Party offers an inexpensive solution to
children’s parties. Initial themes, Treasure Box Party and Mad About Ponies Party, established the brand in 2012, with additional kits for 2013 including Pirate Party and Fairy Princess Party. Craft Party will benefi t from a social media marketing campaign in early 2013, targeting millions of children’s party organisers. My Living World has a new look for 2013. This highly-awarded nature discovery range sees a complete makeover for its existing kits and introduces three new ones to the collection. Interplay has commissioned renowned wildlife authority and TV celebrity Nick Baker to be its ‘house’ expert, and he has set about designing the new kits and rewriting all instruction booklets. Each kit now has detailed manuals, combined with quality components. Ladybird World and Snail World are two of the new projects. Science range Wild Science for Girls is further bolstered with the addition of a new kit,
Magic Nail Lab. This kit joins hero lines Perfume Lab, Bath Bomb Lab and Luxury Soap Factory and will benefi t from heavyweight TV and press campaigns; Interplay has a planned 25% increase in its TV budget. The existing Technokits Stunt Buggy and Dragster have been refreshed, and Wild Science for Boys includes kits such as the Weird Slime Laboratory.

www.padgettatoz.co.uk The Funtime range has boosted its presence in the UK toy market, with an increase in turnover every year over the past fi ve years. This has been achieved through pricing that doesn’t come at the expense of quality. With over 150 items in the range, starting at a RRP of £1 and going up to £15+, there is enough in the range to cover the majority of price points. Funtime can be bought through a UK warehouse, in the new Funtime packaging, or through Hong Kong on an FOB basis, either in the Funtime artwork or in customers own packaging. Sales director, Alex Kenyon, said: “The range sells through for the retailer, whilst achieving a very good margin!” With over 20 new items, including the Farm Tractor Set My 1st Playset and the Happy Baby Gift set in the new eye-catching packaging, the Funtime range is strengthening year upon year.
