Carte Blanche Group has unveiled its hero product for next year, a pink puppy toy with a blue nose and a host of hi-tech tricks. Join In and Play Tatty Puppy is a plush toy which interacts with puppy sounds and movements when stroked on the head or back. Tatty Puppy also interacts with app technology, enabling the pooch to respond to a free game download. As children play the mini- game, Tatty Puppy will wag its tail, move its ears and head, sit, and rest on its front paws. Puppy sounds include yapping, panting, barking and a whimper. Tatty Puppy has 16 different movement combinations. The range also includes a selection of Tatty Puppy dress up clothing items. Join In and Play Tatty Puppy will hit the market in June 2013 alongside My Blue Nose Friends and a magical wardrobe ‘carry case’ for Dress Up and Play accessories. Visitors to the stand can play the app on a big screen and watch Tatty Puppy in action. My Blue Nose Friends Playable Soft Toys offer a new soft pattern format for the brand. The new soft


pattern format is aimed at younger children, with a range of plush in six characters: Twiggy the Giraffe, Fluffy the Sheepdog, Jungle the Orang-utan, Tiny the Mouse, Cuddles the Bear and Toots the Elephant. New for 2013, Dress Up and Play Tatty Teddy has a brand new wardrobe for storing outfi ts and accessories. Tatty Teddy’s Wardrobe comes complete with one outfi t and can double-up as a carry case.

Horrible Histories celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2013, which will see new publishing and the fi fth season of the BAFTA award-winning TV series.


Launching Spring/Summer 2013, the Horrible Histories sets will feature iconic characters from the Roman and Egyptian era, and create a range of fi gures and battle arenas that combine action and collectable heroes, as well as strategy for older boys. The collection will also feature armies, accessories and game cards, and boys will be able to battle with their friends and arrange and display their collections.
