I SHOULD: Identify any effects that the livestock are having on the land.
Identify four crops to grow in the two sections of land labelled ‘Crops’. Outline what crops will be grown in which fields.
Decide what type of fertiliser I will use and how I will rotate my crops over two years.
Explain what other methods I will use on my farm to make sure the land is exploited sustainably.
Suggest ways to overcome the problem of poaching that is taking place in the livestock field, keeping my soil in good condition.
I COULD:
Speak to a farmer in my local area and ask them what methods they use to ensure the soil is used sustainably on their farm.
Peer Assessment
Swap your farm report with the person sitting next to you. Review the decisions they have made and suggest one thing they may do to improve soil sustainability on their farm.
Redrafting
Reviewing the success criteria again, and taking into account your peer assessment notes, make any changes you think are needed. When you are happy, you can prepare to show your work to the class or teacher.
