However, the lifestyle and salary levels are a strong draw.

‘Although the cost of living in Sydney is comparable to Dublin, the salaries we both earn over here are much larger. The decision to move has not been made lightly. We miss our family and friends. But we are lucky that we can return home at any stage. The money we’re earning here will allow us to save for a deposit for a house in Ireland, something that we’re unsure we could have done had we stayed at home.’
