Boomtown installs Interblock's Smart Pit
Indiana - Terre Haute implements JCM tech The recently opened Terre Haute Casino Resort is implementing core technology and systems solutions from JCM Global to protect the casino’s 1,057 slot devices. JCM created a technology roadmap for Terre Haute Casino Resort to set them up for success and supplied its iVIZION bill validator, GEN5 thermal printer, and ICB Intelligent Cash Box system across the casino floor.
The $290m Terre Haute Casino Resort is owned by Churchill Downs , and this installation is the latest milestone in a years-long and multi-property relationship between JCM and CDI. Earlier this year, JCM installed these solutions at CDI’s Derby City Gaming Downtown in Louisville, Ky.
Michigan - MGCB helps close illegal operation Following a joint investigation by the Michigan Department of Attorney General and the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), state investigators executed a search warrant at the Red Horse Bar, located at 4780 State Street in Saginaw. Assisted by the Michigan State Police, authorities confiscated six slot-style gaming machines along with $2,820 in gift cards and $5,161 in suspected gambling proceeds from the location, Red Horse Bar in Saginaw, Mich.
Following an investigation into a citizen’s tip, it was determined that illegal gambling was taking place at the Red Horse Bar. Despite the issuance of a cease- and-desist letter by the MGCB, the owners, Christopher and Nicholas Adams, failed to comply, leading to the raid that took place on June 5. The defendants were arraigned on felony gambling charges on June 6, and a preliminary exam will follow.
US - SIS and bet365 expand esports footprint SIS Content Services, part of the SIS Group (Sports Information Services), has further expanded its United States footprint with bet365 offering its H2H Global Gaming League (H2HGGGL) eBasketball and eSoccer games in Ohio and Arizona.
After bet365 successfully launched H2HGGL eBasketball in New Jersey in late 2022, the product has since gone live in Colorado, Kentucky and, most recently, Ohio and Arizona. Boomtown Casino Biloxi has installed Interblock Gaming's Smart Pit gaming setup featuring Live Craps, Dual Roulette, and two Blackjack tables.
Last month, Interblock Gaming announced the first regional installation of its Smart Pit at Boomtown Casino Biloxi, a PENN Entertainment property in Mississippi. Te state-of-the-art gaming setup, prominently positioned at the casino's entrance, went live on June 11.
To celebrate the innovative addition, Boomtown Casino Biloxi hosted a Grand Opening event on June 27. Te event featured hors d’oeuvres, giveaways, and a variety of activities for guests to enjoy. A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place, marking the official launch of the Smart Pit.

Great Canadian Entertainment is selling its Vancouver Island property, Casino Nanaimo, to Petroglyph Development Group, a wholly owned corporation of the Snuneymuxw First Nation dedicated to realising the economic potential of the Nation, in a historic transaction for both parties.
Great Canadian’s Board of Directors unanimously approved the transaction, which remains subject to customary closing conditions as well as customary approvals by the regulatory authorities.

Nevada LeoVegas to buy US sportsbook assets from Tipico
MGM Resorts’ subsidiary, LeoVegas, has entered into an agreement to acquire the product and technology platform constituting the US sportsbook and online casino from Tipico Group.
Te acquisition is the second major investment by LeoVegas, following the acquisition of game developer Push Gaming in 2023. Te acquisition will allow LeoVegas to operate a purpose-built proprietary sportsbook across all international markets and brands, with the exception of those exclusive to the BetMGM JV, with a focus on a clean, fast consumer experience with top-class product, pricing and functionality.
Tipico will wind down its US operations prior to the closing of the acquisition. As part of the
transaction, LeoVegas will acquire certain of Tipico’s US facing management, technology and trading teams across the US, Colombia and Europe.
