Walking down the stairs you experience the main lighting feature in the room, shown from above in Figure 27. Inspired by designer Bruce Munro it gives the visual effect of raindrops falling from the ceiling. The light fitting recess has a mirrored surface and edge lighting. This visually accentuates the high and volume of the room, when standing on the stairs and observing the lighting feature, as shown in a daytime view in Figure 28. Downstairs the raised lounge area leads down steps to the bedroom space, shown in Figure 29.
