Review ICE TOTALLY GAMING 2015
Combining the brands and games of Scientific Games, Bally, WMS, Shuffle Master, SG Gaming, Williams and Barcrest will undoubtedly bring strategic benefits
Those benefits though are not transferred to any stand visitors trying to get round more than 125 gaming new products in a half hour slot!
These included more than 50 WMS-branded products and over 50 Bally-branded products. The only logical place to stand would be with Gavin Isaacs, President and Chief Executive Officer of Scientific Games, who was keen to start with the synergies.
“ICE 2015 is our first global opportunity, as a combined company, to demonstrate our ability to leverage high-earning product brands and leading technology solutions that benefit our customers and help them grow their businesses,” Mr. Isaacs explained. “There is no other company today that can offer the tremendous breadth of customer- favoured gaming devices, systems, lottery products, online solutions and related services. We are Stronger Together through the combination of our time-tested brands and comprehensive and differentiated product portfolios that are created and supported by an extremely talented global team. As a result, Scientific Games is uniquely positioned to offer new value to casino operators as we seek to become their partner of choice and a one-stop shop for their gaming product and services solutions.”
Phil Gelber, Senior Vice President of Product Development of Worldwide Studios, is overseeing content development at the WMS, Bally and Shuffle Master game studios. “It’s important that we don’t duplicate and attack the same market from two different angles. We can leverage content from all the brands and ensure we are all moving in the same direction. The idea is to make content and place it on as many channels as possible. For example, SG Gaming will be making use of the Wizard of OZ game content, that WMS utilised so well with casino slots, in the British LBO sector. Likewise WMS’ knowledge of the Monopoly brand in international casino will now be used in games designed for the British bingo sector. Spartacus has been a huge success for Williams in the interactive sector and will now also be designed to go into the UK. Bally’s Blazin’ 7s has been transformed into a table progressive by Shuffle Master whilst Shuffle Master’s slot 88 Fortune which accounts for such a huge percentage of the slot floor in Asia, is now being redesigned to be rolled out in Bally’s cabinets.”
