Review ICE TOTALLY GAMING 2015
Building on the hit Sphinx 3D, GTECH unveiled a range of 3D titles alongside market focused games, new multi-game ranges, progressives and mobile titles
All eyes remain focused on GTECH’s amazing 3D range of games at ICE 2015. Now deployed in 15 European countries in addition to US and Latin American markets, new titles arrived at the ICE show including dedicated games for Asian markets: Bejeweled 3D, Dragon’s Temple 3D, Dreams of Asia 3D and Aladdin’s Fortune 3D.
Speaking to GTECH’s Marcel Huetmekers at ICE 2015, he described Sphinx 3D as a ‘must-have’ casino slot right now on gaming floors around the world. “”Sphinx 3D is a unique standout product that is part of an increasing range of 3D titles from GTECH. It has proved to be not only an attraction on the slot floor, creating real visual impact, but it’s a very strong performer too, which is delivering results way above floor averages. It’s very much the perfect all-round product.
“Operators are looking for great performing products fro GTECH and we have a range to suit all tastes, to provide strong maths, whether gambling focused or entertainment driven, visually attractive and solidly performing, it’s the complete package,” continued Mr. Huetmekers. “Operators need to buy the best products on the market to ensure the performance of their floors into 2015 and the latest GTECH range is the strongest ever.
“Building on the strength of our current product range, GTECH is currently in the process of relaunching in Asia across several selected markets,” described Mr. Huetmekers. “We have installs with Genting in Malaysia and will be strongly re-entering the Macau market too with direct sales and our own sales representatives in Macau to service customers.”
In addition to installation in Asia, a brand new product launched at the ICE show coincides with its deployment with MGM Resorts in the US. The ICE debut of GTECH OnPremise mobile sports- betting and mobile casino games followed hot on the heels of the major MGM announcement. “It’s a brand new product that enables operators to extend the gaming experience,” explained GTECH’s Sylvia Dietz. “MGM Resorts has signed a multi-year deal that sees GTECH supplying enhanced sports betting technology and mobile sports betting and casino games to properties in Nevada.” The agreement represents GTECH’s first planned Sports Betting and GTECH OnPremise mobile gaming deployment in the US.
GTECH and MGM are expected to begin a phased deployment of the solutions at the properties in Q3 of 2015, pending regulatory approvals. GTECH will modernise MGM’s sports betting offerings to include live in-play betting, and enable customers to place sports betting wagers via mobile anytime, anywhere in the state of Nevada.

A NEW DIMENSION FOR GAMING “Operators need to buy the
best products on the market to ensure the performance of
their floors into 2015 and the latest GTECH range is the strongest ever.”
In addition, GTECH will provide real-money on- premise mobile casino and slots, playable anywhere within an MGM property through the players’ own smartphones or tablets. Both the gaming and sports betting are combined into a single mobile app and linked to the players’ MGM Resorts M life loyalty club membership. As part of the agreement, GTECH will also extend the mobile services to other on-premise screens that MGM is installing throughout MGM Resorts properties.
Back at ICE, new linked products on the booth included Peruvian Riches and Secrets of the Sea, which feature multi-level mystery jackpots and allow operators to select from almost any title from GTECH’s core game library. Making its global debut at ICE was The Money Drop, a multi- level progressive licensed from serial hit TV producers Endemol, featuring an innovative risk- based progressive play-off. As the provider of the top-performing and top-selling single and multi- games in the Italian AWP market, GTECH also showcased its latest performers on the delite cabinet.
diversity continued to paint its multi-game rainbow at ICE with the launch of Terrific Teal and Luxury Lilac suites specifically targeted for the European market. GTECH’s line-up also included the newest version in the Deal Or No Deal series, DEAL OR NO DEAL LAS VEGAS! presented on the MaXVusion cabinet.
On the interactive gaming side, visitors were given a tour of GTECH’s total iGaming solution, including interactive casino games, bingo, poker, sports betting, and iLottery products, as well as new mobile solutions. “We have a brand new Quasar cabinet for the VLT sector and a range of mobile titles as part of the SPIELO games library,” outlined Ms. Dietz. “And a series of new games from the popular SPIELO casino games library launched for desktop and mobile devices at ICE, including Moving Moments, Goldify, Egyptian Dreams and Treasure Blast.”
GTECH’s networked bingo and poker solutions also drew visitors to the ICE booth, as attendees were able to test the newly launched Poker Mac client and app, as well as HTML tablet bingo. Play for Fun and Social Casino are great tools for operators to build their brand in the interactive arena, helping them to acquire new players, increase player lifetime value, and drive players back to operators’ land-based or real- money offerings. GTECH ́s Play for Fun and Social Casino offerings contain a complete mix of games from a large, ever-growing library, and are available across platforms including mobile. Additionally, they offer the ability to monetise social gaming by selling virtual currency for real money.
