A number of service providers entered the RFP process, which included evaluations on: quality of service delivery, value, capability, sustainability, broad product knowledge and experience. TCSJohnHuxley met all the required criteria, in addition to having a strong track record and comprehensive experience in this sector.

“The acquisition of Sceptre Leisure assets was the most effective way of ensuring the future security and prosperity of both customers and staff,” explains Jürgen Stühmeyer, Member of the Board for Sales at the Gauselmann Group. “The Gauselmann Group will be working closely with the management team at Sceptre Leisure to pro- vide all the support it needed to create a platform for innovation and growth in the UK market place,” he continues.

Whilst the Gauselmann Group has invested in several sectors of the UK market in recent years – including Blueprint Gaming, Praesepe and Betcom - this will be the first investment, other than minority shareholdings, in the British operating sector. The collaboration between the company group and Sceptre Leisure in the past two years has proven that the pooling of development

capacity offers a decisive benefit to the market. The expansion of the Gauselmann Group in Great Britain will be accelerated even more strongly with the acquisition of the new subsidiary.

“I am pleased that we will be able to make even more use of the synergy effects created so far. The Gauselmann Group has developed to become an established force in the British gaming market – both in games development as well as in machine sales and arcade operations – and all sides are profiting from this”, comments Paul Gauselmann, Chairman of the Gauselmann Group.

The company added that whilst it had concluded the purchase of the Sceptre Leisure assets, it was in discussion with another major gaming company regarding a possible investment in the business designed to further strengthen the company’s position.
