Abbiati has been in business for over 30 years and has built up its international reputation and client base in almost every country that offers legalised gaming. The company’s main business is the design, manufacture and supply of casino equipment as used in live gaming: security chips, plaques and jetons (including RFID 13.56 MHz PJM technology), American and European roulette wheels (GLI-25 certified; patented laser technology), standard and custom tables, electronic displays, chairs, 100 per cent wool and microfiber layouts, cards and other gaming accessories. We will also continue to collaborate with DEQ for their G3 system. Do you have any newsworthy events to share – Very important news announced by Abbiati Company this year was the company’s decision to appoint senior manager David Heap as non-executive Special Strategic Advisor and Consultant to the company. In addition, due to the company’s expansion plans in Americas’ markets, Abbiati has announced the appointment of Misty Rodda, who is based in Miami, as Business Development Manager of the Americas. AGEM INDEX


The AGEM Index remained flat in the first month when compared to December 2014, moving from a composite index of 181.84 to 181.89. The latest period represents the first month the AGEM Index has not reported a month-to- month decline since August of 2014. Compared to a year ago, the index fell 1.96 points (-1.1 percent). The AGEM Index has now reported annual declines for four consecutive months.


In January 2015, half of the 14 global gaming equipment suppliers reported month-to-month gains in stock price, with two up by more than 20 percent. However, these gains were offset by the remaining seven suppliers reporting monthly declines in stock price. In addition, four reported declines of more than five per cent.


AGEM is an international trade association representing manufacturers of electronic gaming devices, systems, and components for the gaming industry. The Association works to further the interests of gaming equipment manufacturers throughout the world. Through political action, tradeshow partnerships, information dissemination and good corporate citizenship, the members of AGEM work together to create benefits for every company within the organization. Together, AGEM and its member organisations have assisted regulatory commissions and participated in the legislative process to solve problems and create a positive business environment.

MEMBERS NEWS AGEM KEY BOARD OF DIRECTORS ACTIONS:


l The AGEM Mexico Committee members met in Mexico City in December to discuss the implications and impact of the proposed federal gaming bill. Originally expected to be approved in December, the bill was projected to be considered by the Senate in February.


l AGEM agreed sponsorship of USD$25,000 to co-host the prestigious Presidents Reception held during G2E Asia in May.


l The East Coast Gaming Congress held on 27th-28th May in Atlantic City will receive AGEM sponsorship of USD$5,000.


l Associate Member C ommittee set up to enable the growing number of AGEM Associate Members to be represented fully in bringing matters that affect these smaller companies to the wider membership for discussion.


l Approved USD$50,000 for AGEM sponsored reception at the NIGA (National Indian Gaming Association) show to be held at the end of the first day. The show will take place in San Diego from 30th March – 2nd April 2015.


EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES RECENT EVENTS:


l NCF UK Dealer Championship was held on the show floor at ICE 2015 on 4th February. All the major UK Casino groups had entries and the judges were all well respected industry professionals. The overall winner was Mattia Luchesini – Crown Aspinalls Casino and the Runner Up was Mark Allen – Les Ambassadeurs Club. Both will attend the ECA Finals (of which AGEM are sponsors) on 12th & 13th May in Nova Gorica, Slovenia.


l AGEM once again hosted a reception on 23rd February for the Nevada Legislators in Carson City.
