Review ICE TOTALLY GAMING 2015 SUZO-HAPP PROVES ‘DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER’
This year’s ICE was truly memorable for Suzo-Happ as it celebrated its 60th ‘Diamond’ anniversary in Europe
The Suzo-Happ stand was designed to enable visitors to chart the pictorial progress of Suzo- Happ over the last 60 years, as product catalogues from six decades revealed a continuous time-line of innovation. The Suzo- Happ party at the Hippodrome Casino at London’s Leicester Square was also a fitting way to celebrate with international customers and colleagues. Suzo-Happ has been the industry name for components and spare parts for generations.
Suzo-Happ is the exclusive global distributor for a great range of ‘best-in-class’ suppliers. Transact is the industry name for printers and with the Epicentral system, operators can make excellent use for promotional activities. ELO naturally plays the major role for touchscreen solutions and the new large curved screen represents a breakthrough is this technology. Comesterogroup, as part of the Suzo-Happ family, demonstrated its RM5 Evolution and RM5 HD electronic coin validators – showing just how much research and development has been invested in this product over the past thirty years. As expected, the wide range of change machines was a centre of attraction.
The Suzo-Happ team has also expanded its solutions for live gaming tables. Suzo-Happ is the exclusive global distributor for the APEX iDROP – the revolution for ticket and cash acceptance at the live gaming table. Now operators have complete and immediate control of the drop and players no longer need to go to a cash desk to money for jetons or vice versa. Adding to this, Suzo-Happ announced a further new global partnership and showed the Shuffle King II (for poker) and Shuffle King 6 (for black jack) card shufflers.
Suzo-Happ has extensive R&D and manufacturing facilities and the range of in- house solutions is correspondingly increasing. The Bill-to-Bill bank note recycler is the preferred choice in a whole range of applications around the world. The PRO range represents the Suzo-Happ own label solutions for the market that include CoinPRO, LightPRO, PowerPRO and VisionPRO. Naturally, the products of long-standing partners such as Innovative Technology, MEI and ASSA received strong focus.
Harald Wagemaker and Jim Brendel of Suzo-Happ at the ICE 2015
The large 60 years time frame ended in the demonstration of the service strength of Suzo- Happ. Suzo-Happ provides so many solutions for gaming machines and furthermore has decades of experience of the best fit for purpose. This experience and knowledge can be attained from Suzo-Happ in the form of increased vertical integration. It means that Suzo-Happ can offer their components in a part-assembled form in the gaming machine or indeed right up to completely assembled.
Harald Wagemaker, Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing of Gaming and Casino EMA, explains the contract manufacturing services, “We are receiving more and more enquiries in the industry to assemble the components we
provide so that our customers can focus better on their own core competences – such as the games and software. Ultimately this frees up time for them to invest more with their customers. Our core competence revolves around the world of components and so we have detailed knowledge on how best to integrate these. We welcome all enquiries for contract manufacturing”.
Mr. Wagemaker concludes, “This was a fantastic ICE that gave us the opportunity to underline our dedication to the global gaming market over the past 60 years. We thank everyone who came to our stand and our celebration party – it was a pleasure to see you all”.
