TAKING LIVE TO THE EXTREME

Extreme Live Gaming’s Darwyn Palenzuela explained the unique aspects of ELG’s live dealer offer at ICE

Extreme Live Gaming is the recently acquired Novomatic Group of Companies online live casino provider and the brainchild of Darwyn Palenzuela, the CEO of ELG. Having been part of live online casino gaming for over a decade, having lead the development of Ho Gamings platform, was CTO of the Evolution Gaming product, re-developed Smart Live Casino and eventually founded ELG as Novomatic sought to

enter the live dealing space, Mr. Palenzuela is a serial entrepreneur and deep thinking technology guru.

“My interest in technology stems from a desire to change the behaviour of players who interact with it,” explains Mr. Palenzuela of his interest in live casino technology. “The level of interaction and type of experience a player has in the live play environment is all affected by technology. Features that we currently offer the player such as ‘Golden Ball,’ the ability to spin the ball by telling the dealer when to spin, adds to the interactive experience and the element of

Extreme Live Gaming, with others including a demonstration at ICE that showed the individual player given their own perspective view of the table, with the dealer looking directly at the player and engaging with them one-to-one. It’s a unique view of the game and one that boggles the mind in terms of the technology that make it possible. “A lot of the cameras we use are first to market to enable us to achieve this unique perspective,” explained Mr. Palenzuela. “We are pushing the boundaries of current broadcasting technology and retasking technology to make it fit for purpose for online casino gaming.”

Watching the Extreme Live Gaming demo at ICE, which shows VIP baccarat players squeezing their cards, just as they would on a land-based table, and then switching that game to a mobile and tablet device on the fly, adding additional slot games and mini-games to the background screen real-estate to occupy the player between hands/spins, is another example of the extraordinary technology that Extreme Live Gaming is bringing to market.

INTERBLOCK LOOKING TO THE NEXT GENERATION

Multi-player manufacturer, Interblock, unveiled its latest products and newly recruited Sales Director and CEO at ICE

The ICE Totally Gaming exhibition was a great opportunity for Inteblock to present its most advanced products, share innovations with both new clients and existing partners. Interblock certainly achieved all above at ICE 2015 and was very satisfied with its latest presentation that saw the rebranding of its iconic range of multi- players. Interlock has dropped the ‘G’ moniker from its range, removing the generations that have been G3 and G4 and instead adopting simplified range titles. The G4 is now simply the Organic range, while the G5 becomes the Diamond line.

Patrick Magendans, Director of Sales for Europe at Interblock commented at ICE: “At ICE we have presented the best of what our market has to offer. Customers from north to south, east to west have given us only positive reactions regarding our portfolio of profitable games. The product is world-leading, which means that we don’t sell on price. We know the product is good when we sell into price-sensitive markets and they ask for more products. Our products attract players and

the overall performance justifies the operators’ choice in Interblock.

“We have had three amazing days at ICE 2015,” continued Mr. Magendans. “We look forward to the rest of the year which looks to be very exciting for Interblock. New markets are opening and we have new products ready to launch. This success would not be possible without our valued partners, colleagues, customers and our team.”

A new addition to Interblock making a world debut at ICE was John Connelly, the new CEO of Interblock. Commenting upon his very first exhibition with the Interblock team Mr. Connelly said: “The gaming industry is transforming at the moment; more consolidation and greater competition is being felt globally, as players find new areas to spend their disposable income. “However, Interblock finds itself in an area of the business where more players are migrating to new forms of gaming, such as Electronic Table Games, where Interblock has a leading position. With proven products, our opportunity to expand into new markets around the world is endless,” continued Mr. Connelly. “2015 will be a year for Interblock where we become a global company and solidify our foundation for future growth.”
