Review ICE TOTALLY GAMING 2015 Serif Patir at ICE
PATIR DESIGN SHOWCASES ITS LONDON PEARL COLLECTION
At the ICE show in London, Germany’s Patir Design unveiled its latest collection, the stunning London Pearl
Pair Design has made a speciality of its exhibition theming, with coordinated gaming seating once again forming the core of its booth at this year’s ICE show in London. At this year’s
show Patir Design brought its London Pearl Edition theme to ICE, kicking off a fashion for soft cream colours with diamond-stitched padding accents to the rear of the chairs, a sophisticated blend of aesthetic style and ergonomic function.
The perfect example of the Patir form and function blend is the VIP Chair. An original
creation by Patir to offers casino patrons the ultimate seating option, the VIP chair allows the player to recline away from the slot machine, while remaining connected to their favourite game via armrest buttons and in-built speakers in the headrest of the chair. The VIP chair allows the player to control the volume of the slot, while adjusting their distance from the slot thanks to the patented Patir floor plate, which slides back and forth and acts as a cable-tidy for the connectivity needed to offer so many practical functions.
“We have proved a leader in the creation of a VIP chair for casino players,” stated company Chairman, Serif Patir at ICE. “The innovation of the floor-plate design and the integration of the slot machine functions are a unique Patir design. We know that we have made an impact with this chair as we are already seeing copies of our design in the market. Thankfully, we continue to innovate and maintain our position as a leader in the design of chairs for the casino industry. The VIP chair has helped to open new doors into new markets for us and following a very successful London show we look forward to business opportunities in 2015.”
QUIXANT MOVES TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITH OEMS
Following a decade of growth, Quixant consolidated its success at the ICE show with another top notch performance
Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2015, the Quixant stand at ICE was once more bursting at the seams with the UK-based business seeking to expand its footprint at the show yet again next year. “Our business has shifted significantly into the Tier One manufacturing sector over the last 12 months,” describes Quixant’s Jon Jayal at the London exhibition. “In the past there’s been a deep-rooted prejudice towards outsourcing in the manufacturing sector in gaming. However, I believed this has been eroded away by Quixant and replaced with an acceptance of the model across the manufacturing base, not just for the motherboard, but as part of their broader component needs.”
Historically most of the gaming machine manufacturers around the world have to develop their own logic box by adapting standard off the shelf motherboards. Today, this situation has changed; there is an alternative approach that has served many gaming companies well over the last few years.
Quixant uniquely offers an alternative to
key benefits such as reduced overhead, faster time to market and a reduction in inventory levels,” explains Mr. Jayal. “Our products are optimised solutions solely for gaming applications and specifically “designed for purpose”. In the past logic boxes had to be designed around standard off the shelf motherboards, which are designed for a variety of different applications and requirements.”
It’s obvious when looking around a concentrated environment such as ICE, in which machine suppliers from around the world sit cheek-by- jowl across the aisles of the show floor, that the some of the biggest companies in the business are now choosing to outsource their manufacturing processes and are using Quixant as an essential ingredient in that equation. “The size and manufacturing volume of our customers has changed,” states Mr. Jayal.

“Working with smaller companies we have given them the ability to compete with the larger firms who have had the resources to produce their own solutions, and now, working with some of the biggest names in the gaming industry, we are delivering cost efficiencies, speeding their time to market and making sure the technology they utilise is class-leading.”
