Bridge Technologies By Ian McMurray
Now shipping for all its probes is Bridge Technologies’ OTT
monitoring engine. The OTT engine can be added to all Bridge rack mounted and portable probes to give end- to-end OTT monitoring alongside monitoring of cable, satellite and
terrestrial services, without adding unnecessary infrastructure. Operators of TV everywhere and OTT services can now monitor OTT data quality and

performance at all points in the delivery chain, from ingest onwards. Used in conjunction with the VBC server, data from different sites can be correlated and systemwide performance can be monitored through the system’s graphical displays. 1.A30

Has IBC come at a good time for the electronic media industry? Why?
The one ‘given’ about IBC is that you can reach the ‘rest of the world’ you didn’t meet at NAB. Our statistics show that 2-4% of the visitors to the Phabrix stand at NAB are Europeans so it is important that we have a venue where we can meet our important European customer base.
What do you think are the key developments in, or threats to, your market sector at the current time? Nothing new here, many broadcasters are looking to do more with less – the less being the amount of investment but still include the most innovative solution to, in our case, test and measurement throughout the broadcast infrastructure. Different parts of this infrastructure require different focussed solutions which is why we provide targeted solutions from OB through to broadcast engineering and transmission.
Why should delegates visit your stand at IBC? To see our innovative Dolby E analysis and generation on our award winning portable hand held range and Rx rack mount. Our new Rx200, Rx1000 and Rx500 show advanced T&M instruments via affordable HDMI 1920x1080 displays – up to eight simultaneous SDI or optical channels dependent on how many modules are inserted, including physical layer measurement at an unbeatable price. 8.E29
