Albis Technologies is exhibiting its range of HD IPTV set-top boxes, including the new SceneGate Micro II STB that features enhanced graphical
capabilities and supports OpenGL-based user interfaces.
The SceneGate Micro II is capable of delivering linear TV, VoD, OTT, and PVR services and delivers HD resolution up to 1080p via an HDMI 1.4a interface as well as being 3DTV-
ready. The SceneGate Micro II features a flexible SDK that supports open APIs for integration with native- or browser-based middleware clients and applications. Also at IBC this week, visitors to Albis Technologies’ stand will learn why deploying an STB
with powerful software capabilities can lead to reduced churn and increased customer satisfaction. A presentation by senior executives explains how open APIs enable a more differentiated service offering, and discusses a growing trend towards addressing today’s eco-requirements with energy- efficient platforms. 14.542

Has IBC come at a good time for the electronic media industry? Why?
It has and I’m confident we’ll see a record number of visitors at IBC2012. While broadcasters are going to remain cautious in the current economy, IBC offers the opportunity to look around for good return on investment, regardless of the solution. Vinten Radamec recognises this, offering cost effective solutions that are effortless to use, and with market-leading quality.
What do you think are the key developments in, or threats to, your market sector at the current time? ‘IT and broadcast’ is going to be the talk at IBC2012. Broadcasters are looking for networked solutions that enable them to more easily create digital material and drive efficiencies in their workflows. High Definition will continue to be prominent, as more broadcasters look to upgrade cameras, lenses and explore the full spectrum of tools that allow them to provide HD.
Why should delegates visit your stand at IBC? We will showcase two brand new products which address the distinctive change taking place in the robotics market. At the top-end we will launch an innovative navigation system that will bring operational benefits to studios. We will also unveil an entry-level robotics product. And we will be revealing new additions to our range of successful ICE (Intelligent Control Engineering) products. 11.E55
