Communications
Has IBC come at a good time for the electronic media industry? Why? Absolutely. In broadcast terms, the biggest live sporting event of all time has just taken place in London. The challenges of capturing and delivering content on such a scale will be fresh in the minds of those involved. IBC gives the broadcast and satcom industries the opportunity to engage with ViaLite
Communications and all the other companies who develop and manufacture the equipment they use.
What do you think are the key developments in your market sector at the current time? Wireless cameras and microphones provide greater freedom and flexibility to meet the growing demand for coverage of live events. Consequently, RF over fibre is playing an increasing role by relaying video, audio, timing and control signals between antennas and the OB truck or front of house. RF over fibre is not just a superior technical solution to copper cable – it is now also a practical and cost- effective choice.
Why should delegates visit your stand at IBC? On the ViaLite Communications stand we can showhow our RF over fibre equipment addresses the challenges of broadcasting using wireless equipment such as synchronisation, remote programming, transition between wireless zones and varying link lengths. Visitors can also see much of our ViaLite range including products such as indoor rack equipment and weatherproof outdoor enclosures. 5.B30
