Developments in health monitoring, such as skin sensors or ingestible capsules, will enable on-demand creation of personalized solutions.
Manufacturers are challenged to streamline packaging, empowering consumers to feel confident in how to dispose of recyclable items. And while the development of recyclable products and packaging that are convenient for consumers to separate is critical, equally as important is creating incentives and initiatives, like sponsored ‘reverse’ vending machines and bring your- own-mug schemes, that make it worthwhile for consumers to reuse or recycle plastic items.
