longer be called a trend. For bakery departments, offering single-serve items as well as grab-and- go items in smaller formats can essentially build a small scale set of snacking options. Indulgence, is however still trending with multiple consumer groups; the bakery is a spot where they may seek out an indulgent snack.

SNACKS WITH GREEN MANUFACTURING PROCESSES REDUCED PACKAGING TO BE MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
The same (4 square/ cube/ compartment) packaging that many retailers are using in their delis and prepared foods departments for snack packs could be a sales driver in the bakery space and perhaps a vehicle for profits instead of shrink. Research indicates that a combination of sweet and savory items would be appealing to multiple shoppers.
