Our passion is making games, and we invest heavily on new game features. We always invent and try to implement new mechanics. Some of them work, others less so, but this varies from market to market. However, when we launch an innovative mechanic like in our recent release Hungry Biscuit and previously with Boots of Luck, great numbers follow. We also have the PowerUp Spins mechanic whereby the player previews an upcoming feature before the next spin, keeping them engaged.

such, where we apply for a licence as a B2B casino provider, we also are taking the sportsbook software provider licence so that just in case we find a great opportunity we don't need to go through that process again.

Also, in the background we have some sports betting content under development which comprise two main products. One is DFS - a touchy subject today because it's getting banned everywhere - but since we are integrating only with fully licensed operators, they don't have that problem. From the brands we’ve spoken to, that’s garnered significant interest. Te second product is something I'd describe as unique. It's a micro betting product which, as with the DFS, is available through the same integration as our slots content.

Micro sports betting facilitates a more social environment, more fast markets, and quick questions. It’s like PvP so it's not a case that the house just keeps emerging, but a product designed to entertain players because sports bettors don't tend to stay too long on the sportsbook. Tey typically come, place their bet, then leave to watch the game.

Tis product is there to keep them engaged during the game so they can carry on watching the game but keep the app open, have a chat, and participate in pool betting. We’re still fine- tuning it, but it's proving solid in our testing process. When we launch casino content with operators, we will start to look for the right partner to push our sports betting content and see how it goes.

Are any casino titles live in North America yet?

Not yet. I was hoping to see it live up to the last minute of December, but then we had to go through another stage for a testing certificate. Tis should, fingers crossed, have happened by the time this interview is published, if not by the end of February.

What titles do you anticipate will prove popular with American players?

Our passion is making games, and we invest heavily on new game features. We always invent and try to implement new mechanics. Some of them work, others less so, but this varies from market to market. However, when we launch an innovative mechanic like in our recent release Hungry Biscuit and previously with Boots of Luck, great numbers follow. We also have the PowerUp Spins mechanic

whereby the player previews an upcoming feature before the next spin, keeping them engaged.

It’s also important to note that we come to the North American market humbled and ready to learn. Tis is something we started around 12 months ago when we applied for the licence - to see what works in this state, innovating upon what’s succeeding and bring our own touch to those games. Tis will be reflected in the next batch of games we're going to certify comprising a lot of US-focused content.

As you say, one of Betixon's USPs is its innovations such as PowerupSpins and unREEL series of titles, as well as the patented ingame social power tool, SpinXP. Could you tell us more about SpinXP? What is it?

SpinXP came about as the result of some experiments we were doing to create something above the regular game. We wanted to play with the idea of what happens when a player can react to other people winning like what you have in a brick-and-mortar casino where there is applause and congratulations for winning big.

SpinXP is a little widget sitting in our games which, whenever there's a big win, sends a notification in real-time to everyone playing that Player X won, and people can emote to it, so while the winner is seeing all the coin sprinkles and the numbers shoot up, he also sees all the likes and hearts popping up from other players. When we first shipped it, we weren't sure what would happen.

But after analysing the data, we saw an average 10 per cent reaction rate from other players online. As a social tool, it’s great. It’s not designed to be like a tournament or prize drop, but a small interaction that doesn't interfere with the gameplay and makes you feel like you’re not playing alone.

What are Betixon’s goals for the coming year?

We want to be a significant player in the States. We have started analysing other global markets where we are currently live that aren’t proving good for us and may want to pull out. If by the end of the year we’re live in three jurisdictions - Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania - and the numbers are convincing brands to push the content, that’s success for us.
