VJ Electronix Displays Faster, Improved Rework and X-Ray Equipment
Littleton, MA — VJ Electronix’ XQuik II with Ac- cuCount technology is now faster than ever. With available material handling automation, the XQuik system automatically counts components at up to twice the original speed. Parallel processing allows the system to acquire images and calculate component count in parallel with bar code scan, loading and labeling of reels. The Summit 1800i is an improved version of
the company’s popular rework system. VJE has maintained all of the benefits of high efficiency convection heating and the “1-2-3-Go” interface, coupled with updated technology for greater relia- bility and an improved price point. Further refine- ments enhance the system’s perform- ance with ultra-small components, such as 01005s (0402 metric), while maintaining its capabilities with large boards, oversized CPU sockets, connectors and large BGAs. VJE’s Micra is designed for the
rework of smaller, high-performance components, such as chip scale pack- ages (CSP), package on package (PoP) and micro passives. The enhanced Micra provides a
larger 1.4 in. (35 mm) alignment field of view and an optional full travel programmable x/y motion, expanding its range of applications and allowing greater automation for pallets and
AIC Corp. Recertifies to ISO 9001:2015
West Warwick, RI — Advanced Inter- connections Corporation (AIC) has re-certified its quality management system to ISO 9001:2015. The stan- dard is focused on consistently meet- ing customer and regulatory require- ments, while striving for process im- provement and risk mitigation. AIC’s quality management sys-
tem has been ISO 9001-certified since 1996 by NQA, an independent- ly accredited global registrar. To meet the requirements of the new 2015 version, the company made im- provements to its entire quality man- agement system, including a compre- hensive review and update of docu- ments and processes. The company’s employees are trained and commit- ted to its quality policy, which is cen- tered around three guiding princi- ples. These include communication to ensure that requirements are un- derstood, the consistency to produce accurate and repeatable results, and continual improvement based on the use of objective data to measure and drive further improvements. ISO 9001 is an internationally
recognized standard for quality man- agement systems. It is the most widely used QMS standard in the world, with over 1.1 million certifi- cates issued to organizations in 178 countries. AIC designs and manufac- tures electronic interconnect solu- tions, specializing in customized PCB connectors and IC socketing systems for high-reliability test, development
and production applications. Contact: Advanced Interconnec-

multi-up trays. VJE’s new High Capacity Scavenger provides
high-throughput, non-contact solder removal. With a variety of larger tips and an increased vol- ume solder trap, site dressing time is drastically reduced, while time between maintenance is ex- tended. The increased capacity is excellent for large BGAs, CPU sockets and column grid arrays. Special tips are available to support bulk removal
of passive devices and LEDs. Contact: VJ Electronix, Inc., 234 Taylor
