Seica: Automated Test, Inspection and Soldering Systems

Salem, NH — Seica is offering a broad range of electronics manufacturing systems, including fly- ing probe test, AOI, and laser selective soldering platforms. The Pilot V8 next > series flying prober has an updated look, due to the premium materi- als of its chassis. Fully configured, the Pilot V8 next > series tester provides up to 20 mobile test resources for an electronic board, ranging from probes that can supply up to 3A, high-resolution cameras for AOI, barcode reading, laser, capacitive probes, pyrometers, optical fiber sensors for LEDs, flying connectors for boundary scan and onboard programming, up to high-frequency probes for measurements over 1.5 GHz. Designed for medium- and

high-volume production, the Pilot V8 next > series is available in a fully automated version, making its verti- cal architecture perfectly suitable to be combined with board loading/ unloading modules, capable of host- ing from 1 to 12 board magazines. The high-resolution version of the Pilot V8 next > series allows the sys- tem to test very small objects, down to 1.2 mil (30 µm), while the XL ver- sion extends the work area from the standard 24 x 21.3 in. (61 x 54 cm) to 31.5 x 25.6 in. (80 x 65 cm). Seica’s DRAGONFLY next >

series AOI system provides optical inspection for through-hole compo- nents, as well as for conformal coat- ing. Both the through-hole and con- formal coating inspection versions have the capability to inspect one or both sides of the PCB, which is con- veyed by a standard SMEMA-com- pliant rail conveyor. The system is controlled by

intuitive and streamlined manage- ment software that enables easy pro- gram development in a few hours. DRAGONFLY is available in cus- tomized models to meet the specific needs of different production facili- ties. Options include additional con- veyors, buffers, and loaders/unload- ers dedicated to boards for repair. In-line or standalone repair stations are also available. The company is also offering its

FIREFLY next > series laser selec- tive soldering system. This system’s look as also been updated, as well as its performance. The machine is able to solder both the top and bottom of the PCB and combines four essential innovations: a high-efficiency laser source, new spot angle on the board, fully programmable donut spot size, and axial integration of the laser. Vision and continuous feedback of the solder joint during soldering pro- vides outstanding throughput. Seica’s Mini 200 is a benchtop,

compact, economical in-circuit test (ICT) system with up to 768 hybrid channels. This entry-level test sys- tem provides customers with an easy way to begin production testing. In addition to the Mini 200, Seica’s Compact TK utilizes a built-in receiver to easily swap out fixtures. The Compact line has channel counts from 192 to 4,608 in a variety of manual, in-line and combinational ICT and functional test options. The Digital Mixed-Signal

Tester is Seica’s solution to compo- nent and MEMS testing. This test solution has an extremely small size of 19 x 9 x 7 in. (48.3 x 22.9 x 17.8 cm) and has a modular and scalable design, multisite and high parallel

testing capability, and low energy consumption. Finally, Seica offers an industrial monitoring solu- tion, “4.0 Ready,” which remotely monitors param- eters that include current absorption, supply volt- age, temperature, and system status throughout the factory. This system is designed to enable pre- dictive maintenance and to help manufacturers

meet the demands of Industry 4.0. Contact: Seica, Inc., 50A Northwestern Drive,
