March, 2018 DELO Offers Adhesives for Display Bonding
Sudbury, MA — DELO is now offering two reliable adhesives that are suitable for bonding display frames and cover glass. They can also be used for joining a display panel to a housing. DELO PHO- TOBOND LA4860 is a one-component, light-acti- vated urethane polymer adhesive and DELO-PUR SJ9356 is a two-component, polyurethane hybrid adhesive.
DELO PHOTOBOND LA4860 is a modified
urethane polymer that contains a light-activated curing mechanism with subsequent humidity cur- ing. The adhesive begins to cure once it is exposed to UV or visible light, following dispensing, and before joining the components. The curing takes place at room temperature and ambient humidity after joining. Due to its curing mechanism, opaque compo-
nents, such as display frames, which often have a black mask on the edge of areas or are bonded to the housings, can be quickly and reliably joined, without the need for additional heat curing. Initial strength is reached after a few min-
utes. The time can be further reduced if the fillet created during joining is exposed to light again for a short period of time. Achieving prefixation in sec- onds accelerates the production process and is an advantage when the adhesive is being used for sealing, coating, potting, or encapsulating. DELO-PUR SJ9356 is a two-component poly -
urethane-based adhesive that is free of isocyanates and silicones. It cures at room temperature and reaches initial strength after approximately four hours. The solvent-free adhesive can be used at temperatures ranging from –40 to +230°F (–40 to +110°C). It also exhibits good tension-equalizing char acteristics with an elongation at tear of 350 percent.
DELO’s new adhesives are aimed at display and cover glass bonding applications.
This flexible adhesive ensures stable and ten-
sion-equalizing bonds and seals, even with chang- ing loads. Its flow resistance and excellent wet adhesion make it excel- lent for sealing gaps larger than 0.08 in. (2 mm) and protecting compo- nents from humidity and dust. DELO-PUR SJ9356 is packaged
in hobbocks. For easier handling, it is also available in double-chamber car- tridges. This two-component adhe- sive can be used in a temperature range of –40 to +221°F (–40 to +105°C) and has an elongation at

speed end launch connectors is com- prised of four models that provide VSWR as low as 1.10:1 and a maxi- mum operating frequency of 40 to 110 GHz, depending on the model. These connectors are reusable, do not require any soldering and have a compact profile with a 0.35 in. (8.9 mm) mounting width and a 0.005 in. (0.13 mm) launch pin. They have an outer conductor made of stainless steel and a gold-plated beryllium
