DESCRIPTION
This course is offered as a two-year full-time programme. It provides the competencies required by employers in the administration and commercial fields. A broad range of management opportunities exist within organisations in both the private and public sectors. The main subsidiary aim is to enable successful candidates to progress to further academic and professional qualifications.

In addition to the units taught on the HNC programme learners will study: Business Culture and Strategy | The World Economy | Getting Started in Business | Behavioural Skills for Business | European Union Institutions | Business Contractual Relationships | Presentation Skills | Office Management | Graded Unit 2 | Graded Unit 3.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
At least one Higher pass or an appropriate group of NQ units including Communications at Intermediate 2 level or above. Applications from mature students with several years of work experience welcomed. Interested? Please complete an application form; you will be invited for interview and given further course information. Entry by interview.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PROGRESSION
Possible progression to second or third year degree stage. Opportunities for progression to degree programmes at Glasgow Caledonian, the University of the West of Scotland, Robert Gordon and Napier Universities exist. This course is broad-based and enables successful learners to pursue many different career paths including retail, marketing, administration, finance, human resources, management and business start-up.

ILM – Level 3 Award in
Leadership & Management
DESCRIPTION
This course will improve your skills and performance as a supervisor/manager. You will improve your skills in dealing with people and problems. Learn how to motivate, delegate and lead a team. This is an ideal course for those who are relatively new to supervising or managing people. It is also suitable for aspiring supervisors and managers.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
None, but you should have the ability to analyse aspects of management practice, write reports and relate learning to the workplace.
QUALIFICATION GAINED
ILM Level 3 Introductory Award in Leadership and Management
MODULES
Introduction to Leadership, Leading a Team Effectively, Solving Problems and Making Decisions
MODE OF ATTENDANCE
