An Apprenticeship in Service and Maintenance
DESCRIPTION
Learners will be trained in a realistic commercial environment, the workshops are purpose built within our new campus and are specifically designed to incorporate all the plant and equipment a Service & Maintenance engineer would require to work on.
CONTENT
The learner will be trained and work on a varied range of equipment including boilers (gas, oil and LPG), air conditioning, heating systems, electrics, control systems, pumps, ventilation, hot water storage, cold water storage, water treatment, maintenance procedures, safe working practices i.e. risk assessment, method statement etc.

Modern Apprenticeship
Heating & Ventilation Ductwork Installation
SCQF Level 6 & 7
DESCRIPTION
This three year Level 3 SVQ course is designed to provide attendants with the necessary practical skills and theoretical knowledge to undertake the Installation of Ductwork Systems and associated ancillaries within industrial and commercial premises. Articulation routes to HNC and other progression options are also available.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Entry is by sponsorship through an employer. Funding is normally available to employers through the industry’s training agents.
Adult Modern Apprenticeships are also on offer subject to experience and satisfying Accredited Prior Learning criteria.
QUALIFICATIONS & PROGRESSION
Candidates successfully meeting the course criteria will achieve a Level 3 Qualification with options, issued by SQA.
A Modern Apprenticeship certificate on successful completion will also be awarded.
