DESCRIPTION
This one year, full-time programme is for those who wish to learn or upgrade skills in the designing and making of jewellery items with a view to a career in the jewellery business.

Jewellery Design | Piercing and Inlay | Working in Wire | Sheet Metal Forming | Enamelling | Stone Setting | Precious | Metal Technology | Study of Gemstones | Digital Photography | Communication.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
No formal entry requirements. Entry by interview. Evidence of ability in Art, English and hand skills would be an advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS & PROGRESSION
Programme of SQA national units leading to HND Jewellery Production & Design and Business Management. Employment in retail, manufacturing or wholesale jewellers.

DESCRIPTION
This two year, full-time course will enhance production and design skills and develop business skills with a view to a career in the jewellery business.

Advanced Jewellery Design | Manufacturing Techniques | Lost Wax Casting | Pattern Making | Work Placement | 3D Computer Modelling | Advanced Gemmology | Small Business Management.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate group of SQA national units including Communication 4 or 1-2 Higher Grades and/or Standard Grades or equivalent. Entry by interview. Learners will be required to contribute towards the cost of materials. Mature learners considered on the basis of experience.
QUALIFICATIONS & PROGRESSION
Progression to related degree courses possible. Employment in retail jewellery, manufacturing jewellery and self-employment.
