ESOL – English for Speakers of Other Languages

DESCRIPTION

This full or part time course provides a general and specialised English class for speakers of other languages and integrates the key skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Our courses are also designed to enable learners who are unable to undertake the “Life in the UK” test to meet both the language and knowledge of life in the UK requirements for citizenship and naturalisation.

CONTENT

We offer classes at 5 levels and learners will be presented for Scottish Qualification Authority

awards. (see table below)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants are tested at interview to place them in a suitable class.

PROGRESSION

Further English study, Further Education, Higher Education or employment.
