Subjects such as – Remove and Replace Automotive Vehicle Components | Service and Repair of Automotive Vehicle | Fault Diagnosis (Light Vehicle).

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

No formal entry requirements, but a reasonable level of Communications and Numeracy are required.

QUALIFICATIONS & PROGRESSION

Leads to a modern apprentice in Motor Vehicle Industry.

SVQ Level 2 Building Studies

Small Commercial Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

SCQF Level 5

DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to increase the knowledge and understanding of new entrants or existing workers employed in the Refrigeration or Air Conditioning sector of the Mechanical Services Industry. It is designed as an introduction working towards SVQ Level 2. Individual learning outcomes will be credited as they are achieved. The course will be delivered as block release.

CONTENT

Maintain the Safe Working Environment for HVACR Activities | Maintain Effective Working Relationships | Contribute to the Improvement of the Business Product and Services for HVACR Activities | Plan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Work Activities | Commission and De-commission of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Employment in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. Site generated evidence is a prerequisite for achievement of the SVQ Level 2.

QUALIFICATIONS & PROGRESSION

Successful completion of the SVQ Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Small Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems.

Level 2 would lead to entry to the following programmes:

a Commercial and Industrial AC Systems SVQ level 3

or

b Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Systems Non Ammonia SVQ level 3
