Business

From Accounting to Administration, Management to Marketing, Travel and Tourism to Law, the Business section has something for anyone wishing to access education and training in today’s fast moving, ‘global village’ culture of enterprise, finance and management.

The courses offer progression from National Qualification through to Higher National Diploma, with many links to higher education establishments, both in Scotland and the rest of the UK, to allow articulation to a suitable degree programme. Utilising modern facilities and constantly upgraded resources, the course provision ensures it is current and ‘in tune’ with the most up to date thinking and practices in the business field.

The majority of the programmes are offered on a full or part time /infill basis, with learners encouraged to make full use of information and communication technology, including the College’s Virtual Learning Environment, to allow flexibility and encourage progress at a rate and to a level that indicates the learners have attained their true potential.

Computing

The Computing Section delivers recently developed courses to ensure the learners, on the range of programmes offered, are at the forefront of the most recent initiatives of Computing, Information Technology and Digital Media Computing.

A professional and highly skilled team of staff work to ensure that the fast moving field of Computing and IT is delivered in a variety of formats, including extensive use of the College’s Virtual Learning Environment, online resources and assessment facilities.

Courses have been designed and structured to cope with the continuous and fast paced changes in hardware and software that take place in this field of study.

The range of courses available provides access from entry level for anyone wishing information on the basics in a friendly community setting, through National Qualification courses, to Higher National Certificate and Diplomas in Information Technology and Computing.

The section pride themselves on their ability to prepare learners for a career in the area and, year on year, successfully progress learners into the workplace or onto higher level courses of study.
