The Faculty is one of the largest in the College and covers a wide portfolio of programmes. We offer modern languages, politics, psychology and all the science subjects. Our learners can study for careers in the care sector or study for careers in health care or nursing. There are specialist courses in moving and handling and professional qualifications leading to recognised awards in food hygiene, health and safety and teacher training. We provide special programmes for those who require supported learning programmes. We deliver the full range of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) from absolute beginners to those who require advanced qualifications. The growing popularity of Learning and Development Awards has meant a large increase in the range of opportunities on offer. There are courses leading to personal development awards to advanced diploma for TQFE. We also deliver assessor and verifier units and provide continuous professional development for carers, teachers and those involved in early education.

Learning: a life changing experience. It’s your turn. It’s never too soon or too late for learning to achieve your personal goals. We offer a broad range of educational provision. Our aim is to provide all learners with the opportunity to make the most of their learning experience. Many of our learners will see this as a way to improve their life chances. Our staff are well qualified and experienced and will work with you to help you achieve your full potential. Don’t worry if you have been out of the learning loop for a while, we know adults have accumulated a wealth of life experiences and knowledge that may include work-related activities, family responsibilities, and previous education. We recognise the value of experience in learning.
