Another option is to take a storage device (perhaps a small cluster system like the HP MSA1500 or the WMS from Hitachi) and use 4 point to point connections.
So these servers could be 4 individual servers accessing 4 individual logical units or this could be a small cluster environment accessing the same logical unit. For something so small it is not necessary to introduce the complexity of a switch.
