– FCIP tunneling (but maintains separate fabrics) – Similar to iFCP
• Share SAN resources with iSCSI servers
– Multiprotocol router bridges iSCSI and FC protocols
The LSAN feature can be used to:
o Connect SAN islands, similar to a VPN Allows specific devices to communicate across SAN fabrics Does not allow all devices in the two fabrics to communicate Does not merge the two fabrics
o Extend SANs over long distances FCIP tunneling over IP WAN
Technology is implemented similarly to iFCP
o Share SAN resources with iSCSI devices Multi-protocol router bridges FC and iSCSI protocols
