Consider using the questions in Figure 2 for determining kashrut observance to help understand kosher observance in a systematic and nonconfrontational manner, allowing for the support of healthy eating and the types of foods a Jewish person will accept within their faith stream. Rec- ognize that some people may identify as Jewish by culture but not by religion. Tis is important, as is avoiding the assumption that all Jewish people are familiar with or observe kashrut dietary rules.
