The explanation of this result is in mechanism of action of magnesium minerals that includes prevention of body odour formation but also some features that reduce body odour even when it is already formed, like neutralization of smelly, short volatile fatty acids and their absorption. noted this long-lasting effect, which is one of the most important requirements when it comes to deodorant application. It is possible to insert magnesium minerals
in sprays and milks with extraordinary light feel as indicated in Figure 6, where recommended dosage is between 2.5-5%. The percentage of its use increases when formulating roll-ons in the form of oil-in-water emulsion and recommended dosage is between 5-7.5%. It is also possible and quite interesting
to formulate water-in-oil emulsions with magnesium minerals with recommended dosage between 5-10%. These textures will be surprisingly warm and comfortable on the skin, easy to spread and absorb. The concentration of 15-20% can be used in deodorant formats like powders, sticks and unwrapped solid bars. The combination of caprylyl glyceryl
ether and magnesium mineral has been tested at various concentrations on the most representative bacteria strains responsible for body odour. As shown in Table 2, the synergy of Caprylyl Glyceryl Ether and magnesium minerals is highly recommended to achieve the best control on bacteria growth.
