Procedure: Preparation of Phase B3: Weigh 30% of the whole B3 water. Add AMP-90 under stirring, Heat up to 50-55°C and keep stirring. Keep this temperature during 1 hour under stirring and then add the rest of the water of B3. Keep the stirring and the temperature for c. 1 hour more (pH will be 9.3). Preparation of Phase B5: Add PARSOL® HS in the water/triethanolamine phase under stirring. Stir until the UV-filter is dissolved (pH will be 7.5). Preparation of Phase A: weigh the esters then add UV filters step by step under stirring, Heat up to 85°C under stirring, When the filters are solubilised, add A2 while stirring and keep the temperature at 85°C. Preparation of Phase B: weigh water and add glycerin, Add Avicel® PC 611 slowly under stirring until total jellification. While stirring, add B2 then B3. Add B4. Stir further and heat up to 85°C. Emulsification at 85°C: The temperature must be kept at 85°C during the emulsification process. Add the oil phase A and the aqueous phase B under stirring. Stir further until you have a fine emulsion, which can be seen under the microscope. Keep stirring until 40°C then add B5, then add C1 slowly under stirring, Add the raw materials from C2 step by step. Add C3 and D: add the pearls and stir until everything is homogenised. If necessary, correct pH with a 10% sodium hydroxide solution (pH>7). Properties: pH: 7.2 Viscosity (Brookfield RV3/20rpm): 1385 cps

Procedure: Disperse PURABYK-R 5510 in water with very high shear. Heat phase A and phase B separately to 75°C. Add phase B to phase A. Cool down to 65°C and adjust pH to 5.5 - 6.0 with citric acid (10%). Add the remaining ingredients of phase C step by step. Check pH again and pour into an appropriate container. Properties: Stability: Stable for at least 6 months at RT and 40°C. Stable for at least 1 month at 50°C.

Procedure: Add Phase A to main vessel and heat to 95°C with stirring. Add Phase B to separate vessel and heat to 95°C with stirring. Once both phases are at temperature, add Phase B to Phase A. Mix until homogenous for 15 minutes. Package material in desired material while hot and let cool to room temperature.

Procedure: Micronise ERYLITE®. Thoroughly blend all ingredients from phase A. Add phase B dropwise into phase A whilst stirring. For use, blend powder into tap water at a ratio of 1:2.5, stir thoroughly to obtain a homogeneous paste and immediately apply to face. Leave on for 10-15 min, then peel off the hardened mask and rinse the face with water.
Properties: pH of ready-to-use paste: 5.5 Stability: Stable for at least 3 months at RT, 1 °C (34 °F) and 40 °C (104 °F)
