Chandler, AZ — Koh Young Tech- nology has integrated its Zenith 3D AOI system completely with Pana- sonic’s NPM component mounters and advanced process control (APC) systems. According to the company, the Zenith 3D AOI system is the first certified APC-ready 3D AOI for 008004 (0201 metric) components, which can improve yields in high- density placements.
The Koh Young Zenith 3D AOI can feed correct mounting position val- ues to Panasonic NPM mounters, ensuring components are mounted in the targeted position as intended. North Billerica, MA — BTU Inter- national, Inc., is showcasing its Profile Guardian redundant process monitor and PYRAMAX™ 125N reflow oven. Profile Guardian pairs a thermocouple probe at product height with software to monitor tem- perature deviation from baseline — independent from control TCs. The redundant process monitor is aware of oven state (recipe change, energy savings modes, etc.), and monitor data can be included in host commu- nications (MES) from the oven. It provides board level traceability when paired with barcode readers, which is a requirement for many large OEM/EMS customers. The PYRAMAX 125N contains a 24 in. (61 cm) wide process cham- ber enabling the processing of large boards for LEDs and other applica- tions. The PYRAMAX family of reflow ovens also includes the PYRA- MAX Vacuum to eliminate solder voids, the PYRAMAX ZeroTurn dual chamber reflow oven to eliminate changeover time, and the PYRAMAX TrueFlat for substrate flatness.
