patented technology that is designed to improve hand soldering. Built on the SmartHeat™ technology used in all of the company’s soldering sys- tems, CV evaluates the quality of the solder joint by calculating the inter- metallic compound formation and providing closed-loop feedback to the operator.
Metcal has introduced the lat-
est CV system accessories, including a full set of handpieces, such as tweezers, desolder, and a solution for high thermal demand applications that transforms the CV-5200 solder- ing system into a complete rework system. Metcal has also released its CV
monitoring software that will improve solder process traceability and create a performance baseline to quickly analyze soldering performance, iden- tify changes in solder conditions and allow for changes in the process. The company’s new digital hot
