Siemens Addresses Digital Enterprise with Valor and MindSphere
Wilsonville, OR — Siemens has launched its Valor™ IoT manufacturing analytics product, a comprehensive big data and business intelligence platform that monitors and manages global elec- tronics operations. The platform provides accurate, real-time manufacturing utilization and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) statistics. The new software solution leverages Siemens’ MindSphere open IoT operating system and builds on the acquisition of Mentor Graphics. By collecting and managing rich data sources from Valor shop-floor modules, the software plat- form provides visibility into materials manage- ment, product quality, traceability, and supply chain operations.
This open and scalable Valor solution captures and explores com- plete materials, quality and process traceability data for PCBs and assemblies, measuring and analyzing how resources are used with real- time, work-in-progress (WIP) track- ing. It manages data from all manu- facturing sites and production lines, including machine performance analysis and utilization.
